LINKS Property sales agent Suzy Jones embraces life wholeheartedly and always with a big smile. As your LINKS sales agent she is passionate and eager to achieve the absolute best results for her clients. As a member of the Surf Coast community, she enjoys everything the region has to offer her and her gorgeous active family. We chatted to Suzy to and asked her to share a few things about the coast.

What do you love most about living on the Surf Coast and could you imagine raising your family anywhere else?  I love that we have the Great Ocean Road on our doorstep, amazing beaches and rock pools to go and explore on weekends. Being surrounded by our wonderful community makes this our true home. The only place I can ever imagine living and raising our children.

Torquay is a coastal town spoilt with world class beaches. Share your favourite family beach. It has to be the adventure of Point Addis. Despite the hike down to the shore, it’s well worth it. There are fun waves for the kids and a nice long beach to go and explore. It's our local paradise.

Do you have a locals pick for a family adventure. We can’t get past Lorne for a day out with the kids and who doesn’t love the activities offered along the foreshore. Trampolines, swimming pool, tasty food, great coffee,  easy waves for everybody to surf in, a playground, skate park and a beautiful drive along the Great Ocean Road to get there. Lorne ticks all the boxes for a great day out of town.

Where else can a family share some active fun on the Surf Coast? The Anglesea bike park is another favourite of ours. We can all get out on our bikes and have a go on the bike track. It's a great destination for kids parties and healthy outdooor fun.

Are there plenty of parks and playgrounds for kids of all ages? We’re blessed with some great parks around the Surf Coast both on the foreshores and surrounds. Many have BBQ’s (which we also enjoy using to host kids birthday parties) and some are also dog friendly too.

Are there sporting clubs for families to join. Our kids enjoy Auskick, Tennis, Karate and swimming lessons. There are a lot of activities and sports for the kids to partake in. There is no excuse not to get involved. We also have active SLSC with nippers programs and board riders clubs for surfing families plus basketball.

The coast attracts families who enjoy keeping fit and healthy. They are making a lifestyle move when they buy here. What activities are there for big kids?  As the town continues to grow so does the choice of activities for us adults. We have one of the best Yoga studio’s I’ve ever experienced (Surfcoast Yoga – Bell Shala) I also enjoy Metafit sessions, riding my bike around (as many would often see me doing with the kids in tow in the bike trailer)..... of course the surfing but I’m a fair weather surfer only now days unless the water’s warm you won’t see me out there!

It’s the weekend, share with us a typical fun day out and about on the Surf Coast with the Jones family. Out and about with friends whether it be a drive down to Birregurra skate park followed by lunch at the local, a drive out to Inverleigh for some of the same. Maybe a trek through Ironbark Basin or a BBQ at Cosy’s (Cosy Corner). These are definitely some of my faves, but hey I love where I live and am lucky to be selling homes in my backyard and sharing my love for our lifestyle with those looking to make a sea change. I highly recommend it!
